pumpkins, pumpkins, pumpkins

Well, it's been nothing but pumpkins and Halloween readying here. After visiting Auntie A in Seattle, we came home and met A and T at the coolest pumpkin patch. We had cider, fed chickens corn feed that we made, rambled through a corn maze, rode a tractor out to pick pumpkins and then launched teensy pumpkins with a sling-shot. Man, a great day! check out some of the pics on flickr!

T's costume is just about done. He's going to be a monkey. I dyed some cute pj's chocolatey brown and used craft felt for belly, ears and tail. I just have to decide how I want to do the tail, maybe felt over a piece of metal hanger? That might be a little too dangerous for a 2 year old... And last night we carved our pumpkins and some grown by the grandparents over at Meema and Papa's house. Now our front porch is a magnet for delinquent teens. I hope they make it till Halloween!
