18 Months

H was poked and prodded by the pediatrician this morning. He's 33 1/2 inches tall and 29lbs. He's started talking a little bit more. It all began when I handed him a piece of ice and asked him to repeat. It was like that moment in the Helen Keller movies when Annie teaches her the sign for water as her hand is under the pump and she's crying 'wa-wa'. You could see the light go on and his little brain went, "a ha! this is how I get their attention!" He tries to mimic the sounds that we say when we ask him to say a word. He's also become super demanding and finicky which are the hallmarks of the age. I think we'll be spending lots of time with flubber and water this summer....

Here is a picture that T drew this afternoon for Aunt Amanda. We're not sure if it's going to be colored or not. Pop on over to Flickr to see a description of the drawing. One of my favorite things about the figures is that they have necks.
